Panasonic SC-HC40 iPod Dock

Panasonic has recently released their new HC series of iPod / iPhone docks. These sleek compact stereo systems allow iPod or iPhone users to enjoy their favourite music at home and to experience sound quality that is hard to beat in units as compact as these.

The Panasonic SC-HC40 iPod/iPhone docks also feature an AM/FM tuner and CD player.

The SC-HC40 model features Panasonic’s proprietary Bamboo Cone Speakers and Dual Passive Radiator. The advanced Bamboo Cone Speakers feature a rigid, lightweight bamboo cone material, resulting in exceptionally responsive sound. A Dual Passive Radiator design cancels unwanted vibration, helping deliver a pure bass sound with minimal noise. The diaphragm of the passive radiator is weighted to achieve linear vibration, making it possible for these slim speaker units to produce a robust, full-bodied bass.

The SC-HC40 is also compatible with the iPod/iPhone’s Bluetooth functions. With the Hands Free function, a conversation on the iPhone can be conducted while docked to the SC-HC40. The HC40 also has the ability to receive audio transmission and play wirelessly from an iPod/iPhone or compatible mobile phones.

The HC series is stylish and easy to use. The SC-HC40 features a motorised centre sliding door with a sleek glossy finish. The motorized door slides opens, allowing the user to insert a music CD or an iPod.

The SC-HC40 can be set up in places where conventional stereo systems will not fit thanks to its sleek, slim design, measuring just 69mm thick at it thinnest part. The SC-HC40 can also be wall mounted, which allows greater flexibility in terms of finding a location for the unit within a room.
